Field tests of The Localizer within the UK, highlighted improvements resulting in:

• emergency vehicles changing lanes less often, 
• emergency vehicles being forced to stop less frequently
• faster journey times of up to 10%.

Thus, using the directional Localizer siren makes conditions safer for road users and emergency services alike.

The siren is being evaluated by many of the British emergency services, and has been adopted for new vehicles by various organisations, including Dorset Ambulance, Northumbria Ambulance, Humberside Fire & Rescue, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue,  Leicestershire Fire & Rescue and several Police Forces.
